IPM: An International Gathering Shaping EXPO 2027 Belgrade
EXPO 2027
M2Communications played a key role in delivering the Second International Participants Meeting, a high-profile three-day event that brought together around 500 delegates from more than 130 countries in Belgrade from March 10 to 12. Held across the Sava Center and the Palace of Serbia, the meeting marked an important step in the preparations for EXPO 2027 Belgrade and stood out as one of the most significant international events in that process.

As the agency behind the project, we were responsible for the planning, creative development, and overall production management of the event, including the coordination of all teams, partners, and program segments. Preparations lasted for several months and included the establishment of the operational structure, the alignment of technical and logistical requirements, and continuous communication with all relevant stakeholders, ensuring that every phase of this complex three-day event was executed with precision and consistency.
The program combined official protocol, large-scale conference production, and a carefully curated guest experience, spanning working sessions and ceremonial segments, as well as supporting content that further shaped the identity of the event. An additional layer of complexity came from delivering the program across two representative venues, the Sava Center and the Palace of Serbia, requiring parallel activity management, carefully orchestrated logistics, and precise timing across all segments.
The working part of the program at the Sava Center featured panels, presentations, and meetings focused on the preparations for EXPO 2027, while the opening ceremony was particularly demanding from a production standpoint due to the presence of high-level domestic and international officials and the need for flawless direction, protocol coordination, and technical execution.
A distinctive part of the program was formed by a series of carefully curated accompanying experiences, including the “Play for Heritage” tour through the Palace of Serbia, the visit to the EXPO site, and the cocktail gathering in the “Playground.” Through these segments, the event moved beyond the format of a conventional international meeting and evolved into a more complete experience, one that carried not only a functional and protocol-driven role but also a strong narrative and experiential dimension.
This project once again confirmed M2Communications’ ability to lead and deliver complex international events across multiple locations, seamlessly integrating conference, protocol, and guest experience into one cohesive and precisely managed whole.
