Jaffa cakes and the Olympic Committee of Serbia organized the farewell of the Serbian Olympic team to the Olympic Games in Brazil in an atmosphere inspired by the spirit of Rio de Janeiro, and entrusted the organization of the event to the M2Communications agency.

The agency’s creative team designed an ambiance that evoked some of Rio’s most famous attractions. Guests had the opportunity to walk through the famous mosaic of Copacabana, enjoy unusual works by Rio’s street artists, have cocktails from a tropical bar, or go on a tour of the Amazon rainforest and colorful favelas.
The spirit of Brazil could be experienced with all senses. The event began with Brazilian jazz performed by Sanja Marković and the Brazilian Jazz Collective, and then the VivaVox choir raised the atmosphere and announced the ceremonial part. In the spirit of the Games, representatives of Jaffa and Serbian athletes lit the Olympic flame and thus symbolically wished a safe journey and a successful competition in Rio.
The party continued with a spectacular carnival performance. Brazilian dancers accompanied by the sounds of samba and batucada battery performed. Brazilian rhythms and the music of the St. Louis band kept the guests on their feet until late at night. The farewell of Serbian athletes to the most important competition on the planet was attended by a large number of guests from business and public life, representatives of embassies, as well as celebrities.
The event “With Jaffa in Rio” won the bronze award of the UEPS 2016 in the category “Recognition for an event project – corporate event”.
